I’ve mentioned this car a couple time in the past, and I’m always asked for pics. It’s owned by a neighbor of mine, who keeps this cherry garaged. I happened upon it at the local library, so I stopped for a quick pic for y’all. I was wrong about this car. It’s still the ugliest car in the world, but it’s an Altima not a Maxima like I thought it was. As you can guess, it’s owned by an ... older ... gentleman.

That nearly makes the landau roofed Camry’s look classy.

Those tires are just barely trying to be whitewalls.

There’s an old story that when Donald Peterson was running Ford, one of his instructions to the designers of the then-new Continental was to give it a roofline you couldn’t stick an aftermarket landau top onto.
I'd like to think it's true, though I don't know if they succeeded.

Not even I, an...older...gentleman, would purchase a vehicle with a landau top.

People with no taste will find a way. I remember when the Chrysler 300 came out in ‘05(?) dealers were begging for a factory landau/carriage roof option, because so many of their customers were adding them aftermarket. Props to Chrysler for not doing it.

I would tackle you, if you were thinking of buying a vehicle like this.
I saw this gentleman speak at a town meeting last year, he’s a fair bit older than you.

I’m sure it’s not factory. I’ve certainly never seen another one (thankfully!)
